Native Shrimpman” 8×10 printed on 11×14 Ilford Simi-gloss double weight silver gelatin paper.  Fonville photographed Pierre Lombas in a bar on the east end of Grand Isle. Pierre was very angry and insisted that Fonville show him that photo “RAT NOW!” Fonville gathered his camera and exited there immediately. Fonville later learned from a family member that he is buried in the Lafitte Cemetery in Lafitte, LA. And that he was a very unhappy, angry & mean man.
